Northwood – Elyria City School District

The Northwood PK-8 campus is part of the Elyria City School District’s master plan, developed by AVG, which involves building two new elementary schools and three PK-8 campuses. This new facility was a total of 131,110 SF, and houses seperate PK-4 and 5th-8th grade programs in one facility, each with their own separate entrance and exits. 

This design incorporates 21st century learning environments, including a maker space for creative projects. The design features flexible classroom spaces, ELAs for collaboration, sectional doors, operable walls, exposed ceilings, and mobile furnishings to support various activities and project-based learning.

This project received Gold LEED Certification.
