Jackson-Milton – Jackson Milton Local Schools

North Jackson, Ohio

81,605 SF

Middle/High School 6-12

The Jackson-Milton 6-12 facility was designed to serve 487 middle and high school students. In collaboration with the media center for this project, the Mahoning County Library System also contributed funding for a new community library, which is seamlessly connected to the 6-12 facility.

The building includes academic core areas, administrative offices, and specialized spaces for subjects like art, music, and family & consumer sciences. Additional features include a large gymnasium, a full-service kitchen, and a cafetorium with a stage. Each element was thoughtfully designed to meet the school district’s needs while incorporating sustainable features such as a geothermal system and energy-efficient lighting and management systems.

Some of the most notable qualities of their (AVG) professionalism are the following: compliance and coordination with the OSFC guidelines and staff, positive cooperation with the construction manager to create the best building on budget, and the ability to listen and incorporate design features desired by the owner into the project.
