The Elyria High School project renovated the historic 1894 Washington Building and replaced outdated structures with a modern campus. An adjacent city block was acquired to meet site requirements and house the academic core. The project was completed in two phases: relocating students to the new facility, followed by demolishing surrounding additions and finishing the campus.

The project sparked enthusiasm among the community, businesses, and organizations. Collaborative input from groups like Invacare, Elyria Memorial Hospital, Rigid Tools, and the Elyria Rotary Club helped transform the school into a true community hub, making it a source of pride for the City of Elyria.

There are many architectural firms in the business of school design but I feel confident in saying AVG is the cream of the crop. Syed and his team have become part of the fabric of this district.
