The ELY PK-4 facility was part of the Elyria City School District’s master plan, developed by AVG, which involved building two new elementary schools and three PK-8 campuses. The new facility was built on the same site as the existing school, so students did not need to be placed in a swing space during construction.

The new 60,998 SF Ely K-4 elementary was designed with flexible classrooms, Extended Learning Areas (ELA’s), operable walls, and flexible furnishings. Students thrive in an active, student-driven environment that fosters personalized and project-based learning. The design incorporates exposed ceilings, skylights for natural lighting, and movable furnishings to support breakout sessions and small group learning.

This project received Silver LEED Certification.
