The Eastern Heights PK-8 campus is part of the Elyria City School District’s master plan, developed by AVG, which involved building two new elementary schools and three PK-8 campuses.

The new 146,192 SF Eastern Heights PK-8 facility was constructed adjacent to the former Eastern Heights Jr. High building, which remained in use until its subsequent demolition. The school accommodates separate PK-4 and 5th-8th grade programs, each with their own designated entrances and exits. The facility incorporates flexible classroom spaces, Extended Learning Areas (ELAs) for collaborative work, and a dedicated maker space. This design allows for increased flexibility and potential to support a variety of activities outside of typical classroom use.

This project received Silver LEED Certification.
