Mathews Elementary Gymnasium Addition

About this Project

As part of Mathews Local Schools’ ongoing campus improvements, a new 6,700 SF addition will be constructed at Mathews Elementary School in Vienna, Ohio. AVG is serving as Criteria Architect for this project, which includes a new gymnasium, a secured vestibule entrance with space for reception, two individual restrooms, two storage rooms, a custodial closet, and an office.

The design prioritizes flexibility, durability, and community use, with key features including a high ceiling gymnasium suitable for physical education and events, adjacency to the existing multi-purpose space, and the use of low-maintenance, cost-effective materials. The vestibule will enhance security and provide a controlled access point for students and visitors.
