BROOKLYN EARLY CHILDHOOD CENTER
Brooklyn City School District
Location: Brooklyn, Ohio
Client: Brooklyn City Schools
Size: 147,000sf
Delivery Method: CM at Risk
Completed: March 2025
Scope: Major Renovation
This project transforms the former Cuyahoga County Public Library – Brooklyn Branch into a modern Early Childhood and Family Resource Center. Interior renovations converted the space into classrooms and added an indoor play area for young learners.
A new playground provides a safe outdoor space, and the center includes a food pantry to support the local community. The project also upgrades the building’s restrooms for accessibility and includes safety enhancements like video intercoms and access control systems at entrances. This revitalized space serves as a hub for early childhood development and family engagement in Brooklyn.
“AVG’s work has been instrumental in aligning our long-term facility vision with the needs and aspirations of our students, staff, and community. Their thoughtful approach has ensured that this plan is not just about buildings – it’s about creating spaces that support learning, equity, safety, and pride for generations for come.”
