Brooklyn Early Childhood and Family Resource Center
Brooklyn, Ohio
Early Childhood & Family Resource Center
This project involves the transformation of the former Cuyahoga County Public Library – Brooklyn Branch into the new Brooklyn City Schools Early Childhood and Family Resource Center. The interior renovations will breathe new life into the space, creating a welcoming, modern environment tailored to the needs of young learners and their families. These renovations include converting the existing space into classrooms and adding an interior space for inside play and recess.
In addition to the interior updates, a new playground will be added, offering a safe and engaging outdoor space for children. Additionally, this location will act as a Family Resource Center, with a food pantry to better serve the surrounding community. This revitalization project will serve as a vital community hub, providing essential resources and support for early childhood development and family engagement in the Brooklyn area.
This project enhances both the functionality and safety of the new Brooklyn Early Childhood and Family Resource Center. In addition to aesthetic upgrades, the existing building will be brought up to code with enlarged, renovated restrooms designed for improved accessibility.
The facility will also feature upgraded entrance systems, including safety-glazed doors equipped with video intercom and access controls, ensuring a secure environment for all who use the center. These improvements will create a welcoming, modern, and safe space for the community.
