About this Project

The City of North Ridgeville addressed the need for expanded law enforcement infrastructure with the completion of a state-of-the-art 19,833-square-foot police department in March 2024, alongside a 7,800-square-foot storage facility. Designed to align with the nearby fire department, the facility creates a cohesive visual identity for the city’s public safety buildings while integrating modern functionality with the community’s architectural character.

A key feature is the dedicated tornado shelter, engineered to meet state safety standards and remain operational during emergencies, ensuring continuity of critical services. This highlights the city’s proactive approach to disaster preparedness and public safety.

The facility includes specialized areas such as holding cells, administrative offices, interrogation rooms, and evidence storage, designed to enhance security and workflow efficiency. The adjacent storage building provides ample space for vehicles, equipment, and other resources, further supporting operational needs. Public-facing areas foster community engagement with designated spaces for meetings and interactions, reflecting a commitment to accessibility and transparency.

Blending functionality with timeless design, the facility complements the fire department to create a unified aesthetic among public service buildings.
