The Massillon City School District is embarking on the construction of two new elementary schools, totaling 89,304 square feet. These buildings will be located on existing sites adjacent to the current schools, allowing students to continue their education uninterrupted during construction. Once completed, the facilities will be Silver LEED Certified.

The design includes Extended Learning Area (ELA) spaces adjacent to classrooms, offering students flexible environments for collaborative, project-based learning. Full-view sectional doors will allow classrooms to open directly into these ELA spaces, while operable walls between classrooms will provide the flexibility to combine multiple rooms for various activities. The ELA spaces will feature exposed ceilings, giving students the opportunity to observe how building systems function, and skylights will be added to bring in more natural light. Throughout the facility, flexible, mobile furnishings will support breakout sessions, small group learning, and other dynamic activities by making it easy to reconfigure spaces as needed.

Their (AVG) professionalism, creativity and attention to detail have consistently exceeded our expectations making them a trusted group to work with on our building projects… Their expertise, reliability and client-centered approach make them a top choice for building projects.
