About this Project

As part of the 2003 Needs Project for Mason County Schools, AVG conducted facility assessments and developed the master plan to consolidate Point Pleasant Middle & High Schools into a modern Jr./Sr. High School. The existing high school underwent major renovations, including HVAC, electrical, fire alarm, plumbing, ADA, site, and technology upgrades, along with new finishes, doors, and hazardous material removal.

An 89,842 SF addition was constructed to accommodate the combined student population. The project received $14 million from the West Virginia School Building Authority, with additional funding from a local bond.

Recognized for design excellence, this project was featured in the 2009 American School & University Architectural Portfolio.

I can honestly state that AVG has been unwavering in providing our school system wth expert services and advice, and perhaps even more importantly, sincere, honest, genuine support.
